Black Friday on Newegg: Games, VR, hardware, and more
Black Friday is finally here, and deals are flowing freely across the land as our corporate pals/overlords at Newegg unleash the absolute best deals in tech.
Whether you’re looking to build a PC, upgrade a few parts, or just interested in picking up some shiny new peripherals or VR tech, we’ve snagged some of the best deals from across the site to fit your needs.
For all the deals in this article, supplies and time are limited. You can check out some of our favorites below, or visit the full Black Friday page for more.
SteelSeries has created a solid reputation for producing quality gaming hardware, and if you’re looking for a top-of-the-line wireless gaming headset the Siberia P800 is about as good as it gets. The Siberia P800 is rocking Dolby virtual 7.1 surround sound, a high-quality directional mic with a small LED to let you know when you’re muted, and not one, but two battery packs that can be hot-swapped on the fly for an uninterrupted wireless experience.
Normally the Siberia P800 is almost $300, but with Black Friday deals going strong you can get this headset for 50% off, dropping the price to just under $150, which is a great deal for a wireless headset with this many bells and whistles. And as an added bonus, you can currently pick up a PS4 copy of Doom as a free gift when you buy the headset.
The Logitech G633 Artemis Spectrum is one of the most well loved of the Logitech gaming headsets on the market. This is partly because it’s rocking fully customizable LED lighting, 7.1 Dolby surround sound audio, and a unique sci-fi style. But you’ll probably love the fact that this $150 headset is currently marked down to $69.99 after a $50 discount and $30 in promo code savings.
It's tough to argue with a headset that manages to look stylish and modern even without LEDs, especially when that headset is packing 7.1 Dolby surround sound technology for under $20. It’s a heck of a good deal considering the Gamecom 788 is normally a $60 headset.
It wouldn’t be Black Friday if Corsair Gaming's K70 Mechanical Keyboards weren’t on sale, offering a great keyboard for a great price. This year the K70 RGB RAPIDFIRE is on deck, and for $119.99 ($50 off the $170 retail price) you can get your hands on a keyboard with Cherry MX Speed keys and full RGB lighting.

It feels like it wasn’t long ago that a cheap wireless Logitech mouse was the standard for anyone playing on a laptop or just kicking off their first budget gaming rig. This year the Logitech G602 is on sale for less than $30. The G602 is easily one of the most reliable wireless mice on the market, and although many gamers prefer wired peripherals these days, Logitech’s G602 offers ridiculous battery life, 11 programmable buttons, on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment, and two performance modes that allow you to swap between a power saving eco-mode and a high performance (high polling rate) mode at the flick of a switch.
That's a host of features that make it an essential choice for any gamer on the go, or anyone that holds wireless functionality close to their heart.
It feels like just yesterday Oculus dropped their combo price to just under $400, a move that made their VR headset more accessible than ever. Thanks to Black Friday, the Oculus Rift Touch Bundle, which includes the headset itself, two sensors, and the Oculus Touch motion controllers (essentialy must-have devices if you want an Oculus), is available for $349.99, cheaper than the Rift has ever been before.
It’s a great deal that allows you to dive into the world of virtual reality for less than the price of consoles like the Xbox One X and the PS4 Pro (assuming you already have a VR-ready PC, of course).
It’s no secret that we love the HTC Vive. It was our VR headset of the year for 2016 and it offers one of the smoothest VR experiences for anyone that’s willing to spend a bit of extra time setting up it’s dual lighthouse tracking system to get the most out of room-scale VR. That said, one of its biggest weaknesses has always been its headstrap, which is not quite as comfortable as the straps on the Rift and the PSVR.
The Deluxe Audio Strap changes that in a big way, and during this year’s Black Friday sales if you pick up an HTC Vive you get the Deluxe Audio Strap, which would normally run you almost $100, absolutely free. Combine that with the recent permanent price drop and you’re getting one of the best VR headsets on the market with a $100 peripheral for under $600.
Read our review for more on the Deluxe Audio Strap.
If you’ve always been curious about virtual reality but never had a chance to dive in, the PlayStation VR Worlds Bundle is one of the most affordable options on the market, and thanks to the magic of Black Friday it’s currently even cheaper than usual. Normally the full PSVR bundle, which includes a Playstation camera, two motion controllers, and a copy of PlayStation VR Worlds, you would be paying $499.99. Of course, Black Friday makes the world of tech anything but normal, and today you can pick up the PSVR Worlds Bundle for 30% off, knocking the price down to an attractive $349.99 and saving you a cool $150.
The Acer ED242QR Abidpx is jam-packed with everything we love about gaming monitors. It’s got a 144Hz refresh rate, AMD Freesync Technology to do away with screen tearing, a curved backlit screen, 16.7 Million display colors, and it's available for $169.99 with the on-site $20 promo code. It’s a great deal for a 1080p,144Hz monitor, and it’ll deliver a smooth, consistent experience for anyone looking to get a taste of what it’s like to play on a quality gaming monitor without breaking the bank.
Of course, if you’re trying to give your new VEGA GPU a run for its money there’s no doubt that you’re considering making the leap to 1440p, which is where the ASUS MG278Q comes into play. The MG278Q offers a gorgeous 2560 x 1440, 144Hz, 27-inch display, which is guaranteed to deliver a smooth, snappy 1ms response time while eliminating screen tearing with the help of AMD Freesync technology. Normally this monitor would cost you $549.99, but because it’s Black Friday on Newegg you can pick it up for $339.99 and save over $200.
There’s nothing quite like the smell of an overclocked GTX 1080 when you first boot up your PC in the morning. It smells like power and FPS all wrapped up and cozy, ready to crank out some horsepower in even the most demanding triple A titles. MSI’s GTX 1080 GAMING X Video Card is all that and more, packing 8GB of GDDR5X, a boost clock of over 1800MHz, and optional Silent and Gaming presets to give you absolute control over your GPU with minimal hassle.
After a $25 rebate card the GTX 1080 GAMING X can be yours for just under $515, which is a great deal for a factory overclocked 1080, and the fact that it comes with a free copy of Destiny 2 is just icing on the cake.
Whether you’re new to the PC building game or a practiced veteran you know that a quality case sets the tone for your build and eventually your battlestation, and there’s no doubt that the DIYPC Gamemax-W Full Tower Case paints a striking picture for things to come. Of course good looks will only get you so far in the PC gaming world, which is why it’s fantastic that you can pick up the Gamemax-W for less than $50 and still have access to 4 extra USB slots (2 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0) and enough fan slots to send the Gamemax-W on a one way trip to the moon.
What’s not to love about a $120 PC case that’s on sale for over 50% off?
Sometimes you want a gaming case that looks great, but that hits on more of a minimalistic, professional aesthetic, which is where the CULLINAN manages to pull ahead of the competition.
For $74.99 the CULLINAN is sporting tempered glass panels, space for seven 120mm fans, and three color options for the four pre-installed 120mm LED fans.
Pre-Builts, Laptops, and Console Deals
This manufacturer recertified Acer Predator is an insanely good deal for anyone that’s looking to jump into gaming on the go. $899 for a laptop that’s packing a full-size GTX 1060 with 6GB of GDDR5, a 256 GB SSD, 16GB of ram, and an intel core i7 7700HQ, is out of this world considering most laptops in this price range are usually packing a much lower quality GPU.
With a 6GB GTX 1060 you’ll be able to run most triple-A titles at max settings well into the future, and the 256GB SSD will keep your startup times snappy, and turn loading screens into a thing of the past. The only downside to this laptop is the lack of a larger storage HDD, but for $899 you have plenty of room to invest in a hard drive that should fit your needs.
Pre-built PCs are a great option if you’re just interested in getting set up with a quality gaming PC without all the hassle of putting it together yourself. The CyberpowerPC Desktop Gamer Xtreme S780 is a great example of a top of the line Pre-Built that lets you dive into even the most demanding triple A titles at everything from 1080p to 4K.
For $1299.99 you’ll get your hands on a GTX 1080 and a core i7 7700 (clocking in at 3.6GHz) to give you butter smooth FPS in game, 16GB of DDR4 to fill out all your multitasking needs, and a 2TB HDD for all your games and media. All of which adds up to a quality gaming PC that’ll chew through triple-A titles large and small well into the future. As an added bonus you’ll also get your hands on a free copy of Destiny 2, just in time to say hello to Osiris and his merry crew.
The MSI GT Series GT73VR TITAN PRO is packing everything you need to take even the most demanding titles on the go, and because of the beefy full size GTX 1080 hidden beneath its shiny full RGB backlit keyboard you can guarantee that this laptop is about as future proof as a gaming laptop can get. After a steep $300 discount and a $100 rebate card you’re getting 16GB of DDR4 ram, a 7th Gen Intel Core i7 7700HQ, and a 256GB M.2 SSD paired with a 1TB HDD, all for under $2000.
It’s the kind of setup that’ll outperform the bulk of desktop PCs on the market, and that will handle both traditional and virtual reality titles without breaking a sweat.

2017's Prey was a big departure from the original game, but Arkane Studios managed to create a sci-fi adventure in Prey that feels fresh and innovative.
